Don’t worry if you are new here this is a step by step tutorial also have a screenshot of each step so you can practice it by yourself by downloading the project PSD file.

The label on a product allows the customer to know what is in the food they’re eating or the product they’re using. This allows the consumer to know how healthy, or unhealthy, the product is. It’s also important to display the ingredients for those who may be allergic to certain ingredients.

Step 01
  • Open the Adobe Photoshop software.
  • Go to the “File” menu and click on the “New” option.
  • Select the document size according to your requirement.
  • Click on the “Adjustment Layer” option and click on the “Solid Color” option.
  • Select the color of the “Background”.
  • Take the “Brush Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Select the “Foreground Color” as white.
  • Click on the center of the canvas.
  • Drag down the “Opacity Slider” up to 50%.
  • Here the background is ready.

Step 02
  • Go to the “File” menu and click on the “Place” option.
  • Place the image at the center of the canvas.
  • Resize the image according to your point of view.
  • Now take the “Horizontal Type Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Add the “Product Name” and place it in the center.
  • Double click on the “Right” side of the “Text Layer”.
  • A “Layer Style” window will be opened.
  • Tick the “Stroke” option and select the white color.
  • Now take the “Rectangle Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Draw a small “Black Rectangle” and place it above the “Product Name”.
  • Take the “Ellipse Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Draw a circle and fill it with the same color as the background.
  • Add the “Stroke” and “Text” to the “Circle”.

Step 03
  • Now we have to add “Product Benefits” and “Content”.
  • So, take the “Rectangle Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Draw two “White Rectangle” as shown in screenshot 3.2.
  • Take the “Horizontal Type Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • First, add “Health Benefits” on the left side.
  • Now add the “Content” of the product on the right side.
  • We have to add the “Bar Code” of the product.
  • To do so, go to the “File” menu and click on the “Place” option.
  • Place the “Bar Code” on the left side.
  • Finally, your product label is ready.
