Hello, guys today we are going to show you “How to Design Monthly Calendar in Adobe Illustrator”. In this tutorial, you will learn how to design a calendar very easily. Don’t worry if you are new this is a step by step tutorial also have a screenshot of each step so you can practice it by your self by downloading project and mockup PSD file.

Step 01
- Open the adobe illustrator software.
- Go to the “File” menu and click on the “New” option.
- Select the size of the canvas.
- Now go to the “Tool Bar” and select the “Rectangle Tool”.
- Draw a rectangle according to your requirement.
- Fill it with any color you want.
- Now open the “Object” menu then go to the “Path” option and click on the “Split Into Grid” option.
- Select the numbers of “rows & Columns” and click ok.

Step 02
- Now select the top “Row” in the “Grids” and change the color of the grids.
- Select all the grids and go to the “Type Menu” and click on “Area Type Options”.
- Again select “Rows & Columns” numbers.
- Now select the “Font” which you want to use.
- Click on the “Character” option which is located near the font option.
- Adjust it according to your point of view.
- Take “Text Tool” and write the “Dates & Days”(as shown below).

Step 03
- Again take “Text Tool” and write the “Month & Year”.
- Take the “Rectangle Tool” from “ToolBar”.
- Draw a rectangle around the “Canvas” and fill it with any color.
- Now go to the “File” menu and click on “Place” option.
- Place the image which you want to place in the background.

Step 04
- Right-click on the image, go to the “Arrange” menu and click on “Send to Back”.
- Now select both the image and the canvas.
- Right-click and click on “Make Clipping Mask” option.
- Now place the “Dates & days” table on the image.
- Select the table and right-click on it.
- Go to the “Arrange” menu and click on the “Bring to Front” option.
- Do the same for all text which you want to place on the image.
- And here is your “Month Calender” is ready.
- If you want to make the same as shown in the outcome download the mockup and place this design in the mockup.
