Yet, the main function of a sign or banner is simply to identify a business, making it easy for customers to find it. But the most important reason people use signs and banners is to increase revenue, whether by announcing specials, sales, or discounts.

Step 01
  • Open the Adobe Illustrator software.
  • Go to the “File” menu and click on the “New” option.
  • Select the size of “New Document” and also select the “Color Mode”.
  • Now go to the “Tools Bar” and select the “Rectangle Tool”.
  • Draw a “Rectangle” overall artboard as shown in screenshot 1.5.
  • You can choose any color of the “Rectangle”.
  • We have to add some decoration material to our banner.
  • So, go to the “File” menu and click on the “Place” option.
  • Place the “Decoration” pieces on the “Left” side of the artboard.
  • Arrange all the pieces properly.
  • After the arrangement of the decoration pieces takes the “Rectangle Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Again draw “Rectangle” over the artboard, right-click on the artboard and click on the “Make Clipping Mask” option.
  • Make sure that the “Color & Stroke” option is off.
  • Here our background is ready.

Step 02
  • Now we have to add some text to our banner.
  • To do so, take the “Type Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Write the “Merry Christmas” and change the color of the “Christmas” to the “Golden” color.
  • Select the “Christmas” text then go to the “Effect” menu.
  • In the “Effect” menu go to the “Stylize” and click on the “Drop Shadow” option.
  • Add the “Shadow” according to your point of view to make the text more attractive.
  • Now we have to add the “Shop Now Button”.
  • So, take the “Rectangle Tool” from the “Tools Bar”.
  • Draw a “Rectangle” and fill it with “Golden” color.
  • Now take the “Type Tool” and add “Shop Now” text to the “Button”.
  • Again take the “Type Tool” and add the sale “Offer”.
  • Also, add your website on the top.
  • Finally, your “Merry Christmas Banner” is ready.
