Step 01
  • Open the Adobe Photoshop software.
  • Go to the “File” menu and click on the “New” option.
  • Select the document size in the new window.
  • Go to the “Tools Bar” and select the “Horizontal Type Tool”.
  • Add the text whatever you want.

Step 02
  • “Right” click on the “Text Layer” and click on the “Convert to Smart Object” option.
  • Go to the “File” menu and click on the “Place” option.
  • Place the grass image over the canvas.
  • Now hold down the “Ctrl” key and click on the “Text Layer” thumbnail.
  • It will make the selection of the text.
  • Now select the “Image Layer” and click on the “Add Vector Mask” button.

Step 03
  • Now we have to create “Custom Brush”.
  • So go to the “File” menu and click on the “New” option.
  • Select the size of the document and click ok.
  • Go to the “Tools Bar” and select the “Pen Tool”.
  • Draw a curve shape as shown in the screenshot 3.4.
  • Right-click on the shape and click on the “Fill Path” option.
  • Press “Ctrl+J” to make a copy of the same shape.
  • Press “Ctrl+T” and rotate the copy shape as shown.
  • Again make a copy and resize it then place as shown in screen short 3.7.
  • Go to the “Edit” menu and click on the “Define Brush Preset” option.
  • Add your brush name and click on ok.

Step 04
  • Now go back to the “Orignal Document”.
  • Go to the “Window” menu and click on the “Brush” option.
  • Select the “Brush Tip Shape” option and adjust the “Spacing Slider” value to “1”.
  • Now tick the “Shape Dynamics” and do the same set shown in screenshot 4.3.
  • Hold down the “Ctrl” key and click on the “Text Layer” thumbnail.
  • Now take “Lasso Tool” from “Tools Bar”.
  • Right-click on the text and click on the “Make Work Path” option.
  • Select the “Tolerance” and click on ok.
  • Now take the “Pen Tool” from “Tools Bar”.
  • Right-click on the “Text” and click on the “Stroke Path” option.
  • “Stroke Path” window will be opened to make sure to select the “Brush” option and click on ok.
  • Press “Ctrl+J” to make visible the outlines.
  • Finally, your “Grass Text Effect” is ready.
